Having been promoted to the Liverpool Cricket Competition in 2007, the club’s 1st and 2nd XI’s finished in respectable mid-table positions whilst the 3rd XI gained promotion to the 3rd XI Premier Division by finishing runners up in the 1st Division. In order to fulfil the stringent requirements of the LCC, many recent improvements have been made to the ground including the installation of a state-of-the-art electronic scoreboard, perimeter spectator seating and upgraded changing areas.
Additionally the club continues its policy of developing young players via a 4th XI which competes in Division 2 of the Merseyside Cricket Competition and thereby retains links with a competition of which it was a founder member in 1937.
The club is proud to be an LCB focus club and also holds ECB Clubmark status. In 2007 the Club was named Liverpool’s Sports Club of the Year by the City Council.

The club’s success at senior level has been underpinned by its commitment to an expanding and progressive junior section co-ordinated by Dave Goodall and a dedicated team of ECB qualified coaches. Many of the current senior players have developed through the club’s junior system and competitive cricket is played by squads in the under 9,11,13,15 and 18 age groups. Junior members are given an early introduction to senior cricket via the club’s 4th XI whilst a good number currently also represent the club at 1st, 2nd and 3rd team level.
